Europalia is a major international arts festival held every two years to celebrate one invited country’s cultural heritage. Europalia was established in Brussels in 1969, and from the beginning Europalia was designed to be a multidisciplinary cultural festival.

Indonesia acquired a fantastic opportunity to be the guest country at the Europalia Arts Festival 2017/2018. Indonesia will show exhibitions, performing arts, music, literature, culinary, seminars, conferences, and movies. Indonesia has thousands of races, tribes, and languages, yet all agree to unite. In contrast to other nations, Indonesia has managed to emerge from its diversity and look unique to become one nation: Indonesia.

In this festival, Indonesia will present not only our past cultural greatness but also the splendor of today’s culture and how Indonesia will become in the future.
